As the weather improves, and we see events like the London Marathon, lots of us start to think about lacing up our trainers and give running a try. This month we’re celebrating everything running related and encouraging all members to join in our Ultimate Running Month events to help you get started!
Starting on Saturday 1st April: Couch to 5K
Taking up running can seem like a scary prospect, especially if you feel out of shape or unfit.
Join this Couch to 5K programme to help you gradually work up towards running 5km in just 9 weeks.
To help with motivation to get through the 9-week plan, we’ll be encouraging all participants to join us for a parkrun on Saturday 3rd June.
Speak to a fitness coach today to get your programme set up, ready for Week 1 Run 1, and to help with registering for the parkrun!
Thursday 6th April: Run Seminar with Todd
As part of our Ultimate Running Month, you can join Todd for this compelling and motivating Q&A on all things running.
We’ll cover a number of topics including:
– tips for beginners
– different types of training
– advice for upcoming London marathon
– nutrition, trainers and kit
– strength training for runners

Every Tuesday and Wednesday in April: SKILLRUN Sessions
Tuesdays 2:00pm: Interval Training
Intervals are great for a number of reasons, including: building fitness, improving your running pace, burning more calories, adding variety to your training and are time efficient!
Weds 2pm- Fartlek Training
Fartlek means a system of training for runners in which the terrain and pace are continually varied. It’s an excellent way to add some variety, fun, and interest to your running training.
