Our Barre classes are a HIIT type work out, using body weight and dumbbells….not dance!
Barre is well known for its benefits, and versatility.
What you can expect from a typical class:
- High repetition of movement
- Lower and upper body work, with a primary focus on the glutes
- Core focus
- A repeated sequence to learn and improve on
- Muscle isolation, combination movements
- Lean muscle tone
- Improved balance and body control
- Increased endurance
- Cardio vascular improvement
- Fat burn
You don’t need to bring any equipment to the class. It is best practiced in non-grip socks or ballet slippers – this is for ease of movement and foot mobility. We use the bar to aid balance (when needed) and focus on one side if the body at time.
